I am a human-environment geographer at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. I study water resource management and governance in the U.S. West from a political ecology perspective. I am interested in applied legal and policy questions around how we manage our water resources, as well as food systems, food-water-energy nexus issues, and other issues related to resource management in Oregon, California, and beyond. I teach a range of courses in human-environment geography and resource geography at Portland State. My Master's is in Community Development from UC Davis and my PhD is in Geography from Clark University in Massachusetts. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, gardening, exploring Portland's great food, and adventuring with my family.
